Below is the front page of a report on the "State
of the Birds" in out
forests, that will be presented to the
United States Congress, featuring my photo of a Cassin's
Finch.The
report was created by a partnership involving the USFWS, Cornell Lab of
Ornithology, The Nature Conservancy, National Audubon Society, American
Bird Conservancy, and others. It will be presented to the Secretary of
the Interior, as well as at Congressional hearings on March 13, 2009.
Additionally, it would be included on the State of the Birds website,
accessible to the public.
